How to detox everyday

Detoxification is often seen as something to do once in awhile, as something distant from us and our lives ? is it possible to detox everyday?

?

Let me tell you how.

With all the recent detoxification craze, detox is on the minds of many, especially those foraying into the world of raw or plant-based foods.

?

Do we all need to detox?

?

Unless you?ve been living in some far-reaching, untouched place of the earth?then yes.

?

In this modern day, whether we like it or not, we all have a certain level of toxicity in our bodies, sometimes called a toxic load (from plastics, environmental pollutants, food, air, water, etc). If you eat high levels of meat, than you?re heavy metals will likely be quite higher. If you have a significant amount of stress in your life, you?ll likely have a higher toxic load.

Over time, this load can negatively impact our health.

?

Detoxification is a wonderful way to reverse these effects.

?

Detoxification, however, has gotten pretty unruly. In fact, there are some really drastic detox packages available that many people try and then swear to never try again. Aside from drastic, you?ll also find some really, really expensive detox ?supplements.?

?

You can buy detox packages in beauty salons, health spas, fitness gyms, nutritional businesses. Detoxes are everywhere!

?

Detox has become synonymous with ?trend? since so many try it, get burnt out, then feel worse than before the detox! This often involves severe hunger, emotional upheaval and an episode of running to the store just grasping for the first crumb of food in sight (at least that?s how it?s gone for me a few times).

?

I don?t believe this is how detox should be. In fact, it sounds pretty unhealthy if you ask me. We have to change our outlook on detoxification.

?

Detoxification doesn?t just happen once a year for a set amount of time (although ? done properly ? this can be a wonderful way to help and I recommend it).

?

Take active steps ? everyday ? to ensure our body is in a constant state of flow by eating well, exercising, interacting with friends and family, and trying a contemplative practice like prayer, meditation, or even just hiking in the woods.

?

These are all vital pieces of a healthy, flowing, whole life.

?

Detox doesn?t have to be something we think about once a year and then forget about. There are easy, consistent ways to ensure we?re getting a high level of nutritious detoxifying food, practices and more on a regular basis. Start slowly, add some more raw food to your diet and take it easy. Take some time out for you to make sure things are detoxing and flowing as they should.
